I see koalas and some goats as I’m walking on this road, frogs frolicking with toads when it’s dark then it gets cold./ My posture finna fold, feel the moss up on my toes. I turn back and look, see a cross up in the road, and the ones who abused me singing gospel from their soul. I turn around, keep walking, getting farther as I stroll,/ am I lost? I dont know I’m just walking as I go. It’s just me and a jungle of trees, I hear the humming of bees as the wind come in the breeze./ My backpack heavy it’s full of trauma, I’ve let so many down including mama. And it’s evident because I’ll never be the Seven I was, and that’s the Seven they love./ The gospel rapper, the thoughtful pastor to go back to that I’d be walking backwards.
I was traumatized son, even as a kid I was proselytized young. To fit in, I had to believe, so that love could be grabbed and received./ Over the horizon, slowly but I’m rising, I lose reception with every step but I like it. I ain’t tellin nobody to follow me, cuz who knows where I’ll end up honestly/
